It is that time of year again – winter! I shudder when I think about how difficult it is going to be to wake up in the mornings. I imagine myself dashing to the closet to grab some sweatpants and sprinting to turn up the heat. This happens after I finally force myself to get up 20 minutes after my alarm. While I currently live in a fairly energy efficient apartment, I still find myself feeling chilly. I especially remember being extremely cold in an old home with my family growing up. Being cold in your own home creates stress, discomfort, and frustration – so what kinds of energy tips can I offer you to stay warm this winter?

I was thinking about this idea when trying to explain to someone that insulating your home does not have to be just for the winter. Preventing energy loss or air loss in a home actually will cause your home to feel more comfortable by keeping the heat in during the winter or out during the summer.

The event opened up with some very fit gymnast children from Lexington and was followed with two yoga sessions where children were invited to join! It was for a great cause and we were excited that we were able to give back to the event that raised over $5,000!
